This is what Julia Donna, Book Club Outreach and Author Visibility Specialist, had to say about Exiled On Unium.
November 13, 2025
Hi James,
I hope you are well. I read the description for Exiled On Unium and I kept picturing Greg paddling alone into a landscape that is as beautiful as it is brutal. That blend of raw survival, speculative world building, and moral ambiguity is exactly the kind of story that hooks readers and keeps them talking long after the last page. You give us a protagonist who is both broken and dangerous, and that tension makes everything he faces feel urgent and high stakes.
The river journey into unknown territory, the forest with savage denizens, and the constant question of whether Greg will survive or be consumed by the land or his past create an immersive adventure. At the same time, the book does not avoid difficult material. The central crime and its fallout raise potent questions about justice, exile, redemption, and how communities punish and protect themselves. Those are the exact kinds of themes that turn casual readers into fierce discussants, and they give book clubs deep conversation fuel.
Warmly,
Julia Donna
